On April 28th, the Sanctuary of S. Bento da Porta Aberta marked the Sunday of Divine Mercy.
After the Solemn Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament at 3:30 p.m., the Eucharist was celebrated at 4:00 p.m., presided by Fr. Manuel Morujão, S.J. and solemnized by the Community of Christ of Bethany.
In his homily, the President greeted all the pilgrims of St Benedict of the Apostle and appealed to all Christians to give a “sermon of example”, doing good works as well as giving an example of participation in this same Eucharist; explaining also the significance of this day of Divine Mercy as the life of St. Faustina Kowalska, whose saint received the visions of the Sacred Heart of Jesus.
